Shortly before 11 p.m. on July 24th, 2006, Pikesville Volunteers Squad 322 was alerted for a Rescue Box on Smith Avenue east of Greenspring Avenue. Baltimore County Fire Dept. Engine 2 arrived and confirmed 1 vehicle vs. a BGE pole with heavy entrapment. Under the direction of Captain Resnick, crews from Pikesville volunteers and the Pikesville and Randallstown career stations performed a lengthy extrication, including roof removal, on a Priority 1 male patient who was flown via Maryland State Police Trooper 1 to Shock Trauma. Pikesville's Engine 321 set up the LZ for the Trooper in the Greenspring Shopping Center. A second patient was transported via Pikesville's Medic 325 to an area hospital.
