Two Randallstown apartment buildings were heavily damaged by an early-morning fire on Sunday, July 15. The blaze started shortly after 12:30 a.m. at 8504 Glen Michael Lane (Fire Box 18-3) and spread to the adjoining 8506 building, where flames pushed through the roof and 20 feet into the air. Baltimore County Fire Department Engine and Truck 18 (Randallstown career station) were the first units on the scene and reported heavy fire showing. As the fire grew in intensity, a 2nd alarm was called, bringing additional units to the scene. Baltimore County fire investigators are investigating the cause and origin. No injuries were reported but the American Red Cross was called to assist several dozen people who were displaced. Video from the fire can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK1rvC7bYwc
