Parkville, MD - Feb 5, 2009 - Baltimore County, MD firefighters battled a 4-alarm apartment fire on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 6 Spindrift Court in Parkville at The Berkshires at Satyr Hill Apartments. BCoFD Engine 10 arrived first and immediately requested a second alarm, reporting heavy fire in a three-story garden apartment building. Engine 10's crew made several civilian rescues and as the fire quickly spread to attached similar exposures command requested a third alarm, followed by a fourth alarm. Several civilians and firefighters were transported to area hospitals. BCoFD reported 23 families representing approximately 50 people were affected. The American Red Cross was on the scene assisting residents. Video from the scene is here:
