Shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon March 26, 2017, Baltimore County westside firefighters were alerted for Fire Box 13-2, reporting smoke conditions in an apartment at 5908 Franklin Avenue. First-due Truck 13 from the Westview station reported heavy smoke showing from the terrace level of a 3-story garden-style apartment building; command requested a Working Fire, followed by a request for two additional engines. Firefighters extinguished a fire in an electrical panel and vented heavy smoke from all three levels of the building.
