At lunchtime on Saturday, October 6, Baltimore County fire and police units were dispatched to the intersection of Philadelphia Road & Allender Road in White Marsh for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment (Rescue Box 20-15). Tower 209 (White Marsh volunteers) was first to arrive and confirmed a working rescue. A motorcylist was involved in a crash with a pickup truck and the cyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and ended up pinned under the pickup. Firefighters from Tower 209 and Squad 483 (Kingsville volunteers) extricated the patient and command requested a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter. The medevac was canceled and the patient was transported by Joppa-Magnolia medic unit to a local trauma center. The crash is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department's Crash Team. (Photos by Jordan Schwartzberg - age 12)
