Shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, September 16th, fire units on Baltimore County's west side were alerted for a reported building fire in the unit block of Main Street. Upon arrival. Reisterstown VFC Engine 412 encountered heavy smoke banking over Main Street and laid several handlines. Making their way through the smoke firefighters found heavy fire in the rear of Memphis on Main Street BBQ, and BCoFD Engine 56 requested a 2nd alarm. Crews reported the fire was in the basement, first and second floor and into the attic of the building. Firefighters made an aggressive attack with several handlines and used foam from E412 to extinguish the fire
