Late on Sunday morning June 10, Pikesville Volunteer Medic 325 was dispatched to Garrison Forest School for a 9-year-old girl reported injured in an accident at a horse show. Upon arrival Medic 325 found the girl had been thrown off a horse and fell face first to the ground, losing consciousness temporarily. Due to the mechanism of injury and the girl's complaints, a decision was made to transport her via Maryland State Police Trooper 1 medevac helicopter to Johns Hopkins Hospital Pediatric Trauma Center. MSP Trooper 1 landed on the lacrosse field at Garrison Forest School, with BCoFD Engine 19, Brush 19 and EMS 5 also on the scene.
