On the afternoon of Saturday, June 16, 2018, Baltimore City firefighters were dispatched to a reported fire in the 2000 block of McElderry Street (Box Alarm 33-51). Units arrived with heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear "bump-out" of a 2-story rowhouse at 2027 McElderry St with extension to the adjoining dwelling. Engine 33's crew stretched an attack line while Truck 1 firefighters worked to ventilate the structure and firefighters stretched an additional line into Side Alpha and opened up the street-side of the dwellings. Command requested a Working Fire and firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about 30 minutes.
