Shortly after 7 p.m. Super Bowl Sunday (Feb 1st), Baltimore County Fire Department units responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Outer Loop of Interstate 695 at Exit 20 (Reisterstown Road). BCoFD Engine 2 (Pikesville career) reported two cars were involved, with multiple patients. One vehicle ended up against the jersey wall, while the second struck a light pole, shearing it from its base, and ended up on the slow shoulder. Two patients were transported to Baltimore's Shock Trauma Center, while two others were taken to Northwest Hospital Center. Also on scene were BCoFD Medics 2, 14, & 19; Pikesville VFC IV-325; BCoFD Engine 14, EMS 1 and EMS 5.
