During rush hour on Monday, March 5, 2007, Baltimore County, MD Engine 14 (Brooklandville station) was alerted for a reported car fire in the area of Falls Road & Shoemaker Road. Upon arrival, Engine 14's crew found several vehicles on fire in a junkyard-type occupancy and requested several additional engines, followed quickly by a request for a full fire box assignment. The fire is believed to have started when the catalytic converter on a car being moved by a worker caught fire and strong winds helped ignite nearby brush.
