Around 1:30 P.M., on October 12, 2006, the Baltimore County Fire Department dispatched units for a motor vehicle accident on North Charles Street near the entrance to Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Towson. Pikesville Volunteer Medic 325 was a few blocks away, clearing St. Joseph Medical Center, and was added to the assignment. Medic 325, under the command of EMS Lt. Rick Udell, arrived to find an overturned station wagon in a ditch, with one male patient trapped. Pikesville FF/EMT Paul Fenush entered the vehicle to assess and stabilize the patient. Crews from Baltimore County Fire Department Engine 1 & Truck 1 and Lutherville Volunteers Squad 303 worked to extricate the victim, who was transported via Medic 325 as a Priority 1 to Sinai Hospital's trauma unit.
