Thursday, December 23, 2010 - Shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, December 23, Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company Engine 321 was dispatched with Baltimore County Fire Department Engine 18 (Randallstown career) for leaves and bushes reported to be on fire in the area of a vacant house at the corner of Lochearn Drive and Carol Road. While units were en route, Baltimore County 911 received calls reporting a house fire at 3638 Lochearn Drive, and upgraded the response to a dwelling fire (Fire Box 3-14), bringing PVFC Tower 323 and additional units to the scene. Engine 321 arrived first-in reporting a fire in the basement of a house that was the site of a suspicious fire the previous week. Under the command of PVFC Lt. Scott Goldstein, Engine 321’s crew began an aggressive interior attack, with three handlines stretched from the pumper. Crews made a quick knock of the fire and confirmed the house was vacant. The BCoFD Fire Investigation Division is investigating both fires at the house.
