On the afternoon of Saturday May 12, 2007, Baltimore County, MD firefighters responded to a reported overturned fishing boat in Loch Raven Dam with several people reported in the water. Units from Providence Volunteer Fire Company arrived to find 3 males in the water about 200 yards from shore. While the Baltimore County Fire Dept's Advanced Tactical Rescue team and dive teams from several volunteer companies were enroute, PVFC crews donned protective water rescue equipment and made their way down to the shoreline. Firefighters were able to get to the 3 subjects within about 15 minutes, and they were brought to shore uninjured.
