In the early evening of Saturday June 9, Owings Mills VFC Engine 312 (Baltimore County, MD) was alerted to a fire alarm sounding at 9211 Appleford Circle in the Apartments at Briarwood complex. Soon after Engine 312 was on the road, fire dispatch sent a full assisgnment for reported smoke in the building. Engine 312 arrived with nothing evident, but civillians were reporting fire on the 3rd floor of the 4 story apartment building. Engine 312's crew reported heavy smoke on that floor, and using a thermal imager found the fire apartment. Firefighters found several small fired in an apartment and made a quick knock. On the scene were: Engine 312 (OMVFC), BCoFD Engines 19, 18, 56, Engine 461 (Liberty Road Volunteers), Engine 311 (OMVFC), BCoFD Trucks 18 & 13, Rehab 156 (Box 234 Association), Air Unit 426 (Boring VFC), BCoFD Medic 19, BCoFD BC22.
