Around 5 p.m. Saturday, November 22, Baltimore County Fire Department units were alerted for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment near the intersection of Greenspring Valley Road and Greenspring Avenue in Brooklandville. BC 22 (Hart) arrived first and reported a car had struck a utility pole and gone off the road, with one patient trapped. It is believed the driver struck a deer, causing the animal to come through the windshield and into the front seat. Firefighters from BCoFD Engine 14 (Brooklandville career), Squad 303 (Lutherville volunteer) and Tower 323 (Pikesville volunteers) worked to remove the passenger door and extricate the driver after taking the deer out of the vehicle. Medic 14 transported the patient as a Priority 1 to Sinai Trauma.
