Just after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2007, Baltimore County, MD westside firefighters were alerted for a reported bedroom fire at 7118 Marston Road in the Woodlawn area. First arriving BCoFD Engine 18 reported heavy smoke from a private dwelling, and Batallion Chief 2 upgraded the call to a Working Fire. The resident was reportedly drying clothes in a microwave, which shorted and sparked the fire. BCoFD career units from stations 2 (Pikesville), 3 (Woodlawn), 4 (Catonsville), 13 (Westview), and 18 (Randallstown) responded. Volunteers from stations 31 (Owings Mills), 32 (Pikesville), 33 (Woodlawn), and 42 (Boring), in addition to Rehab 156, responded. For video from the scene, click here:
