Shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, Pikesville VFC Squad 322 and Medic 325 responded to a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment at Park Heights Avenue and Slade Avenue (Rescue Box 2-27). Medic 325 was first to arrive and found a van and a Toyota Corolla involved in an MVA, with the car’s driver pinned. First EMS Lt. Rick Udell reported a working rescue and requested a Maryland State Police helicopter for medevac of the patient to the Shock Trauma Center. Crews from BCoFD Engine 2 (Pikesville career), PVFC Squad 322, and BCoFD Truck 18 (Randallstown career) worked to extricate the victim, removing the roof and performing a dash roll.
