Shortly before 9am on Sunday, January 7th, westside Baltimore County units were alerted for a report of a house on fire in the 3300 block of Smith Avenue in Pikesville. First-arriving Baltimore County Fire Department Engine 2 arrived with smoke showing from two sides of a single family house and initiated an aggressive interior attack. Firefighters from Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company Engine 321 were deployed with Engine 2's firefighters to the basement, where they knocked down the fire and conducted a primary search. Additional firefighters from BCoFD Stations 2, 18 & 19 arrived and deployed a second handline and placed ladders. No injuries were reported.
