On Tuesday afternoon December 30th, Baltimore County fire crews were alerted for a fire response in the northern end of the county. While responding from career Station 2 in Pikesville with lights and siren activated, Battalion Chief 24 was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Reisterstown Road near Naylors Lane in Pikesville. The Chief's vehicle rolled several times, and a civilian was trapped. The trapped victim was quickly extricated and transported along with the Battalion Chief to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The crash is being investigated by the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team.
