Shortly before 6 pm Tuesday, November 11, as PVFC Engine 321 was returning to quarters from a call on Slade Avenue, Baltimore County fire dispatch alerted units for a reported vehicle crash with injuries at Park Heights Avenue & Old Court Road. Captain Goodman advised E321 would handle that call, and as they were responding, additional information provided to 911 indicated the crash was more than a mile north on Park Heights Avenue, in the area of Greenspring Valley Road, and a victim was now reported trapped. Rescue Box 19-4 was dispatched, bringing Squad 322 as well as units from stations 2 (Pikesville career), 19 (Garrison career), and 31 (Owings Mills VFC) to the scene. Car 605 (BCoFD Medical Director) arrived first, followed seconds later by Engine 321, and units confirmed a crash involving 2 cars with 1 driver trapped. Firefighters from Engine 321, Squad 322 and Truck 313 worked side-by-side to extricate the driver of a Honda. BCoFD Medics 2 & 19 transported the victims to area hospitals. The crash is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department.
