Shortly after 6pm on Tuesday, July 22nd, Baltimore City 5th Battalion units were alerted for a MVC with reported entrapment at the intersection of Eutaw Place and West Lafayette Avenue. Engine 13 and Truck 16, responding from quarters several blocks away, quickly arrived and confirmed a two-vehicle MVC, with one driver trapped. While firefighters from Engine 13 stretched a precautionary hoseline, Truck 16 firefighters began extrication efforts on the driver's side door, joined by Rescue 1 firefighters when they arrived. The victim was removed within 10 minutes and transported by BCFD EMS to an area hospital.
