Baltimore County Police are investigating an aggravated assault with a handgun that broke the quiet of a Sunday afternoon at the Hair Cuttery store in the Foundry Row Shopping Center in Owings Mills, MD. On the afternoon of October 29, Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company Engine 312 & Medic 315, and Baltimore County Fire Department EMS 5 (supervisor) were alerted to respond to assist Baltimore County Police with a reported shooting and possible hostage situation at the Reisterstown Road business. First-arriving units initially believed an armed suspect was holding a hostage in the store, however that was proved to be unfounded. BCoPD report a female customer at Hair Cuttery and her boyfriend (the suspect) got into a dispute, when the boyfriend retrieved a handgun from his car and fired several shots at the woman, who fled out the back door. No one was struck by the gunfire, and the suspect was arrested at the scene by police.
