On Friday, December 21, 2012, Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company Life Member Lee Sachs was remembered with a funeral service at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation and interment at Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery. At the time of his passing, Lee was serving as 1st Vice President of PVFC, where he held many other positions since joining the company in 1976. During his 36 years of service, Lee served as President, EMS Lieutenant and in many administrative capacities. Lee also served as President of both the Maryland State Firemen's Association (MSFA) and the Baltimore County Volunteer Firemen's Association (BCVFA).
