Woodlawn, MD - July 22, 2009 - Around 6 p.m. Wednesday July 22, Baltimore County westside units were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire at 2124 St. Luke's Lane (Fire Box 3-4). First arriving BCoFD Engine 3 (Woodlawn career) advised heavy smoke showing from a house and quickly updated the report to heavy fire showing from the rear. Firefighters attempted an aggressive interior attack but were pulled from the structure when conditions worsened and command switched to defensive operations. PVFC Squad 322 and Medic 325 were dispatched on the Working Fire Dispatch assignment.
