During the morning rush hour on Tuesday May 8, 2007, Baltimore County (MD) Fire Department Engine 14 and Engine 321 (Pikesville Volunteers) were alerted for a Dumpster on fire on the inner loop of Interstate 695 just past Exit 22 (Greenspring Avenue). A truck driver carrying the Dumpster smelled burning and alertly offloaded the container onto the highway shoulder. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire, with Engine 321 providing Engine 14 with water. Engine 14 then escorted the truck to the Texas landfill, where they were met by Engine 17 who assisted in ensuring the contents were extinguished.
