Shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, Baltimore County westside fire units were alerted for a reported house fire in the 900 block of Windsor Road in the Sudbrook Park community of Pikesville (Fire Box 2-19). BCoFD Engine 2 (Pikesville career) arrived with smoke showing from the chimney of a house and dropped a supply line. PVFC Tower 323, with a crew of 4 volunteers, arrived shortly after, followed by Engines 18 (Randallstown career), 3 (Woodlawn career) and 19 (Garrison career), Medic 2 and Batallion Chief 2. Crews reported heavy smoke in the basement and found a fire that was apparently caused by a malfunctioning sump pump. Crews made an aggressive attack and quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
