Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, Baltimore County (MD) First Battalion units were dispatched for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Loch Raven Boulevard and Taylor Avenue in Hillendale (Rescue Box 11-8). BCoFD Engine 11 arrived and reported one vehicle had struck a pole; no victims were trapped but a second EMS unit (Medic 10) was requested and Engine 11's officer reported two victims had serious injuries. Medic 1 and EMS1 were also on the scene. A Maryland State Police helicopter was requested for a medevac and Engine 10 responded to set up the LZ at a ballfield next to Station 11. Both victims were transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in downtown Baltimore; one via Medic 10 and one via MSP Trooper 1.
