We haven't seen much snow in Baltimore so far this winter, so when we had some overnight snow that stayed on the trees briefly, I took an opportunity to do some photography. I wanted to test my new battery grip on the Nikon D7000, and test some of the camera's filtering and other effects such as black and white / monochrome. My 11-1/2 year-old son is also learning how to use his first digital SLR camera so I took him out for some practice.
