Shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, January 13, PVFC Squad 322 responded with other westside Baltimore County fire units to a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment on Liberty Road at Essex Road (Rescue Box 3-3). While units were enroute, Baltimore County Fire Dispatch advised Baltimore County 4th Precinct police units were on the scene confirming entrapment. Fire department units arrived to find a single vehicle crash with 2 people trapped. The Subaru Forester had rolled over at least once, coming to rest on its wheels in front of the Kentucky Fried Chicken store. Squad 322's crew led the extrication efforts to free the driver and passenger who were both seriously injured. Medics 2 (Pikesville career station) and 465 (Liberty Road volunteers) took a Priority 1 and a Priority 2 patient to Baltimore's Shock Trauma Center. Also on scene were BCoFD Engine 3 (Woodlawn career station), BCoFD Truck 18 (Randallstown career station), BC 2, and EMS 8. The Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team is investigating the accident.
