Units in the Baltimore County, MD first battalion were dispatched shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct 31 to a reported building fire at the Superfresh supermarket on Dulaney Valley Road & Fairmount Avenue in Towson. First arriving Engine 101 reported heavy smoke showing from the rear of the structure and laid a line, while Truck 1 laddered the roof and Engine 301 handled water supply. Crews located a fire in a rear room and the roof area and made an aggressive attack to knock down the fire in under 10 minutes. Units responded from Station 1 (Towson career), Station 10 (Parkville career), Station 11 (Hillendale career), Station 297 (Providence Volunteers), Station 30 (Lutherville Volunteers), Station 47 (Jacksonville volunteers) and the Central Alarmers, who provided rehab.
